However, we use the negative keywords in paid campaigns often. It doesn’t have much effect on SEO. It is only required in SEO during building backlinks and forum postings.

This is a two-step process. First, you’ll need to download a list of links to your site. Next, you’ll create a file containing only the links you want to disavow, and upload this to Google.

  1. On the Webmaster Tools home page, click the site you want.
  2. On the Dashboard, click Search Traffic, and then click Links to Your Site.
  3. Under Who links the most, click More.
  4. Click Download more sample links. If you click Download latest links, you’ll see dates as well.

While looking at the links to your site in Search Console, make sure to verify both the www and the non-www version of your domain in your Search Console account because too Google, these are entirely different sites.

Upload a list of links to disavow

  1. Go to the disavow links tool page.
  2. Select your website.
  3. Click Disavow links.
  4. Create a list of website which you wanted to remove in notepad and save the file in a text format (.txt). Given below would be the format of text file.Disavow file format

Setting a country target in new search console is not available. In order to do that, you need to switch to old Google Web Master and follow given below steps.

  • Login to your search console with login ID & Password
  • Go to left hand side menu and scroll till the end.
  • Select “Go to the Old version”.
  • Now Select “Search Traffic” from left hand side menu

  4. Do not built backlinks in bulk without checking spam score of the website. Always keep an eye on link back sites. Sometimes you would see URL’s in webmaster which you don’t remember. So check the spam score of website and if it doesn’t meet your standard then get rid of URL ASAP by using “remove URL” tool in search console.
  5. Follow the practice of 1 link from 100 URLs instead of 100 links from 1 URL while building backlinks. Using variety of anchor text would certainly give you good results.
  6. Don’t rely on paid tools. Technology is good but it is always good to learn each thing every day. Always ask yourself that why you need paid tools and what kind of problem they are going to solve.
  7. Content is king. Always focus on generating quality content for your website or blog. Never ever copy content from different sources. Try to generate your own original content.

Since I am using the free version of analytics, I am not getting the keywords but it is showing not provided and not set. But if you are using the premium version of Google analytics, you will get the complete list.
